A Fort William Hotel and Art Gallery with an award winning Restaurant
The Limetree An Ealdhain Gallery at Fort William
The Lime Tree An Ealdhain Gallery - An Ealdhain is gaelic and means ' the place for creativity'.
The gallery exhibits contemporary art and hosts around two public exhibitions a year. Previous shows have come from the National Art Collections, the Royal Geographical Society London and the Hayward Gallery Touring, with works from Francisco Goya, David Hockney, Andy Goldsworthy, the Frank Hurley Archive and Henri Matisse.
The gallery is a purpose built space rare in the north west Highlands and is the perfect place to visit. Not only do we pride ourselves in giving contemporary artists a platform to exhibit their work but in bringing major exhibitions from national collections is extremely important to us. The gallery is the studio base for visual artist David Wilson and Mohamed Sardo who's work is on permanent display in the gallery and throughout the hotel and restaurant. We have recently developed our gallery shop that showcases a great range of jewellery, wood, glassware, ceramics, textiles, prints and cards.
